Cyber Intel Analyst Senior
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Cyber Intel Analyst Senior to join our globally dispersed team within the Computer Incident Response Team (LM-CIRT). This role is vital in defending our enterprise\’s computing assets against network intrusions from criminal and nation-state adversaries. The successful candidate will work in the Global Defense and Intelligence Mission Area, supporting operational workflows, analytical processes, and resilient countermeasures.
Responsibilities include:
- Computer network defense and incident response
- Documenting analysis at an operational level
- Ensuring follow-through on analysis and remediation efforts
- Leading initiatives, research, and system hardening
- Developing advanced threat actor campaigns
- Creating and maintaining detection and countermeasure strategies
- Effective communication within the team and organization
- Managing priorities and workloads with accountability
LM-CIRT operates across four Security Intelligence Centers (SIC) worldwide, practicing Intelligence Driven Defense (IDD) principles, advanced countermeasures, and fostering cross-industry collaboration.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a MoD Secret Clearance
- At least 5 years of experience in computer network defense or a related field, or 3 years with a relevant Master\’s degree
- Strong technical knowledge of large-scale network environments
- Experience with network defense tools, processes, and tradecraft
- Proficiency with intrusion detection systems, SIEM, and forensic tools
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Experience in globally dispersed, collaborative cyber initiatives
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux command line
- Experience developing detection capabilities with Python, Shell scripting, and regex
- In-depth security log analysis and malware reverse engineering
- Proficiency with SIEM and security technologies
- Experience with Cloud services and host/network security technologies
- Familiarity with detection tooling such as Yara, Suricata, or CrowdStrike IOAs
