I am recruiting for a growing and dynamic law firm who is looking for a proactive Legal Assistant to join its fast-paced team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a long-term career in the legal sector and be part of a supportive, energetic workplace. Previous legal experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
About the Role
You will work closely with Case Progression Officers and other team members, playing a hands-on role in supporting the progression of cases and delivering exceptional service to clients. This is not a repetitive typing role; you’ll be actively involved in real casework and client communication from day one.
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Assistant:
- Speaking with new and existing clients and handling calls professionally.
- Providing administrative support including filing, arranging appointments, and corresponding with clients and external organisations.
- Working directly on active cases and liaising with Barristers, Magistrates’ Courts, the Crown Prosecution Service, and the Police.
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to smooth case progression.
About You:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident, professional telephone manner.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Accurate typing abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently within a team.
- Have the desire to work in a fast-paced, upbeat environment.
