Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (Office Based)

The Role

As a Service Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy service department. This is a varied and fast-paced position that requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach. You’ll be responsible for helping the department run smoothly by managing service administration, supporting engineers, liaising with customers and ensuring all paperwork and systems are kept up to date. This is a pivotal role within the business and would suit someone who enjoys being busy, working as part of a close-knit team and getting involved wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming telephone calls and assisting customers with service-related enquiries
  • Creating, updating and maintaining service job cards
  • Processing service invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Booking in service appointments and scheduling work
  • Supporting engineers with administrative requirements and job information
  • Assisting with the coordination of engineer schedules and routes
  • Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate records
  • Typing letters, correspondence and service documentation
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal departments
  • Managing service-related paperwork and filing
  • Monitoring and progressing ongoing service jobs
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider team
  • Assisting with ad hoc tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department

About You

  • Previous administration experience within a busy office environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise a varied workload
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Takes pride in producing accurate work
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, adaptable and willing to support colleagues when required
  • Enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with a variety of people across the business
  • Enjoys working in a down-to-earth team where everyone pulls together
