This position is ideal for someone who thrives on networking, enjoys the challenge of securing support, and brings the confidence and energy needed to grow income across corporate partnerships, community fundraising and events. You’ll be the face of the charity in the business community, building meaningful relationships that directly sustain and expand their incredible work.

Working within a small, supportive fundraising team, you’ll develop new partnerships, nurture existing supporters, and create compelling opportunities that inspire organisations and individuals to get involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Fundraising (Sales-Led Focus)
    • Proactively research, identify and approach local businesses to build new partnerships
    • Secure financial support through sponsorships, donations, payroll giving and charity-of-the-year partnerships
    • Create persuasive, tailored proposals that align corporate CSR goals with the charity’s mission
    • Confidently pitch to senior leaders and decision-makers
    • Support impact storytelling that demonstrates the value of unrestricted funding
    • Maintain and grow long-term corporate relationships to maximise income
  • Income & Reporting
    • Contribute to achieving ambitious fundraising income targets
    • Monitor and report on activity, outcomes and pipeline
    • Track income forecasts and identify new opportunities for growth
    • Support the development of innovative fundraising ideas
  • Community Fundraising
    • Engage and support individuals, schools, clubs and community groups to fundraise
    • Help develop and promote community fundraising initiatives and campaigns
    • Deliver excellent supporter care to encourage repeat engagement
  • Events Fundraising
    • Assist with planning and delivering fundraising events that drive income and visibility
    • Work with colleagues and volunteers to ensure events run smoothly and meet targets
    • Support participants in challenge events such as runs, swims and community activities
  • Relationship Management
    • Build strong, trust-based relationships with supporters, volunteers and partners
    • Maintain accurate records using the charity’s CRM
    • Ensure supporters receive timely recognition and personalised stewardship
  • Marketing & Promotion
    • Work with the communications team to promote fundraising opportunities
    • Contribute engaging content for social media, newsletters and promotional materials
