Dreaming of being a part of a hotel-opening in the heart of Canary Wharf London? Locke London Canary Wharf sits waterside in one of London’s most dynamic districts, moments from the Thames and surrounded by striking modern architecture. Opening in April 2026, the hotel will offer 279 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites set across 19 floors, many with expansive views across Canary Wharf and the city skyline. The building brings Locke’s signature mix of design, atmosphere and energy to East London, with an Italian all-day restaurant, a ground-floor coffee shop, and Canary Wharf’s first rooftop restaurant and bar, offering breathtaking views in a glamorous setting, full of personality.

We’re looking for skilled and reliable chefs — people who stay calm under pressure, work in a structured way, and have a strong eye for quality. You will take pride in preparing great food, supporting a smooth service, and creating dishes that guests remember. Reporting to the Head Chef and the F&B Manager, you’ll be an important part of the kitchen team and play a key role in delivering the Locke dining experience every day. You’ll bring consistency, energy, and craftsmanship to the kitchen, helping create the kind of meals guests want to come back for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes while following the brand’s recipes and standards.
  • Menu Development: Support the creation of new menu items and contribute to daily specials.
  • Kitchen Organisation: Keep the kitchen clean, always organised and running smoothly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene: Follow all food safety and hygiene standards consistently.

You’ll succeed in the above with:

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a cafe/small restaurant or similar setting
  • Proficiency in preparing a variety of dishes with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Culinary qualifications are a plus
