Lock Studios is a full service, creative production company, specialising in end-to-end content creation for the fashion, beauty and luxury industries. We work alongside the forefront of the industry’s brands, photographers, art directors and agencies in all aspects of production and casting, always acting as the definitive, service led production resource.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the Lock Team as a Lighting Operative. Supporting the operational team this position offers a great opportunity to learn about all aspects of Lighting within the Film and Photographic industry. Please note working hours vary and may fall between 7am and 9pm and that occasional overtime may be required to meet project needs.

Tasks
  • Assisting the Operational team in the prepping, check-in and testing of equipment.
  • Testing and maintaining equipment including cameras, lighting and computers.
  • Remaining ahead of the game with new digital & lighting equipment.
  • Knowing which key suppliers to contact for specific equipment requests.
  • Prioritising workloads so deadlines are never missed.
  • Delivering and collecting Lock kit from various locations in London.
  • Responsible for safe storage of equipment ensuring safe handling and damage limitation.
  • Stock checks: owning and maintaining a barcoding system.
  • Learning and utilising the rental software and barcode system in operation in the warehouse, to ensure maximum utilisation of Lock Lighting equipment.
  • Maintain a friendly, approachable and can-do manner with clients.
  • Opening and closing the studio as and when required.
Required
  • Full driving license (experience driving Luton vans desirable) - clean licence / no points.
  • Interest in operations, process improvement and logistics.
  • A strong team player with excellent interpersonal abilities, willing to help other members to get the job done.
