Lock Global is recruiting on behalf of a valued client for a skilled Electrical Mobile Maintenance Technician to join their Building Services team. This is a mobile role covering multiple sites across Edinburgh, focused on delivering high-quality electrical services, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across commercial and public sector buildings
- Complete PPM tasks and extra works in line with engineering standards and HASAWA requirements
- Respond to emergency call-outs and ensure all statutory and mandatory compliance records are maintained and filed correctly
- Keep the CAFM system updated, reporting jobs accurately to the helpdesk
- Conduct emergency lighting inspections and repairs, switchgear and distribution board checks, and minor electrical projects
- Ensure all health & safety documentation and permits are in place before commencing work
Requirements:
- SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (SQA/SJIB) or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds NVQ Level 3)
- Completion of a recognised electrical apprenticeship
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition) – essential; LV AP qualification – desirable
- IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety certification
- Experience using electrical multi-function testers
- Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently across multiple sites
