Our client, a well established independent CA Firm seeks to recruit an experienced Personal or Mixed Tax Senior or Assistant Manager to join their friendly, successful Tax team.

Our client covers every aspect of taxation for clients, whether on employment tax matters, corporate profits or gains, personal income, gains or wealth. They also provide extensive tax planning advice including IHT and succession planning and corporate reconstructions, demergers and acquisitions, share buy backs, MBO’s and all related transactions. Corporate clients range from large businesses to smaller owner managed businesses across many sectors and private clients include entrepreneurs, high net worth individuals both UK and Non UK residents and owner/shareholders of our corporate clients, as well as compliance services for trusts.
This varied tax role will involve all aspects of compliance with some advisory/planning and can be sole personal tax or mixed tax with a strong personal bias, depending on the successful individual’s tax experience, interests and Tax career aspirations.
MANAGING YOUR OWN TAX PORTFOLIO - KEY SKILLS ARE
- Preparing client tax computations and submitting self assessment tax returns.
- Preparing and submitting CGT returns.
- Dealing with all client matters and liaising with HMRC on their behalf.
- Ensuring all compliance requirements and deadlines are met.
- Managing WIP and Bills for the allocated portfolio.
- Identifying advisory opportunities and working with Director and Partner on complex matters.
- Reviewing work and supporting the development of junior colleagues.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
You may be ATT/CTA qualified or studying though this is not essential. However, a minimum of 5 years Personal or Mixed Tax experience gained from another UK Accountancy Practice firm with a solid understanding of managing client relationships and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively is required along with experience supervising junior team members and contributing to project work. Strong communication skills and commercial awareness are important.
