Our client's tax professionals provide a comprehensive range of tax services including dealing with tax planning, implementing practical tax strategies and compliance. With an increased demand for tax services, our client seeks an experienced and ambitious Tax Manager to join their tax team. The role: Our client seeks an experienced professional to supervise, grow and develop the team. You will take full responsibility for managing a portfolio of the Firm's largest corporate tax clients and support the designated management team and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on the management of corporate compliance services.
- Supervise and guide assignments as necessary to make sure all filing deadlines and related time limits are met.
- Supervise the work completion, delegating as required, and ensuring effective delivery of work and targets are monitored and achieved.
- Assist with departmental management and administration, including staff appraisals.
- Coach, support, supervise and train team members.
- Contribute to the development and management of the department, i.e. business development, sales and marketing, quality, admin processes, and resource planning.
- Keep technically up to date and assist the dept leadership team, as appropriate.
- Monitor and take responsibility for issuing of corporate fees and wip maintenance.
The Person:
Successful candidates will have broad current/recent Corporate Tax experience gained from ideally working in another UK Practice Firm, with excellent technical knowledge, and proven experience of taxation compliance and review, supervisory skills and an excellent communicator in order to develop relationships with clients and colleagues. You will have a positive and confident approach to work, be able to work as part of a team or on lone assignments, have proven time management and organisational skills and will be passionate about excellent customer service. Ideally you will be ATT/CTA qualified (or equivalent). With proven organisational skills and ability to take ownership of tasks, you will be highly client focused with an enthusiastic, flexible approach to work and your team.
