Our client, a long established, forward thinking and expanding CA Firm seeks to recruit a client focused Tax Manager to join their growing team. Our Client seeks an experienced professional to supervise, grow and develop the team, working closely with the existing management structure, having full responsibility for overseeing a client portfolio and supporting the designated management team and partners. The corporate tax portfolio has GREAT variety, with companies ranging from owner managed businesses to large corporate entities/groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of a most varied portfolio of CORPORATE TAX clients
- Review taxation on corporate tax client base and provide technical guidance to clients and staff, as necessary
- Supervise and guide assignments as necessary to make sure all filing deadlines and related time limits are met
- Supervise the team and work completion, delegating as required, and ensuring effective delivery of work and targets are monitored and achieved
- Assist with departmental management and administration, including staff appraisals and general staff issues
- Coach, support, supervise and train team members
- Contribute to the development and management of the department, i.e. business development, sales and marketing, quality, admin processes and resource planning
- Keep technically up to date with attendance at courses, personal reading and research so as to assist with technical reports, as required
Ideal person:
You will have proven UK Tax experience gained from working in a similar role from another UK Accountancy Practice firm, ideally with CTA/ATT qualification or equivalent, demonstrating both proven supervisory/people management and excellent client liaison and team working skills. Experience in corporate or mixed tax compliance is required with excellent technical knowledge and proven experience of taxation compliance and review. Current/recent people management experience.
