We’re looking for a proactive, commercially minded and people‑focused all‑rounder Associate Employment Solicitor. You will play a key role in advising businesses on the full spectrum of employment law issues and helping them navigate complex workplace challenges with confidence.

This role requires an experienced, confident, and highly organised individual who can manage complex priorities, exercise sound judgement, and operate with discretion in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice on a range of employment issues both contentious and non-contentious
  • Advise employers and employees on employment problems and disputes
  • Draft contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures
  • Supervise junior team members providing technical guidance and helping to manage workload
  • Proactively identify business development opportunities
  • Actively participate in networking and marketing initiatives for the firm
  • Build excellent relationships with new and existing clients
  • Design and deliver training to clients and potential new clients as part of business development work
  • Prepare Tribunal or Court cases
  • Day to day running of a caseload with minimal supervision
  • Working with our Accounts team to ensure that our billing process is completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism at all times
  • Uphold the organisation’s values, culture, and professional standards in all interactions.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Proven experience handling Employment Tribunal matters
  • Experience advising on and negotiating settlement agreements
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • High level of discretion and integrity, with experience handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and confident using CRM systems
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and use sound judgement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, able to balance planned work with ad hoc and time-sensitive demands.
What We’re Looking for:
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
  • 3 to 5 years PQE gained within an established employment team
  • A proactive and professional attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • This position can be based at either our Eastbourne, Tunbridge Wells or London office. Please ensure that you are able to commute to one or all of these locations.
