Be part of the team driving bold action for climate, nature and people in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. You will be joining the National Park Authority at a pivotal moment as we prepare a new Local Development and Land Use Plan and set priorities to respond to the climate emergency and restore nature.

Our work is focused on restoring nature, tackling the climate crisis, and supporting thriving, resilient communities alongside a strong rural economy. Planning is central to this mission—helping to shape how land is used, how places evolve, and how we guide investment to deliver a future where people, nature and place work together.

This role sits within our Development Management team and focuses on the determination of planning applications and associated casework. You will assess proposals, provide clear and balanced planning advice, and work constructively with applicants and stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes. The role is central to ensuring that development aligns with policy and supports the National Park’s objectives for climate, nature and sustainable places. It offers a varied workload, combining technical assessment with day-to-day casework management and engagement.

We are looking for people who can bring professionalism, insight and commitment to the National Park Authority, which is the full planning authority for the National Park.
