Be part of the team driving bold action for climate, nature and people in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. You will be joining the National Park Authority at a pivotal moment as we prepare a new Local Development and Land Use Plan and set priorities to respond to the climate emergency and restore nature.

Our work is focused on restoring nature, tackling the climate crisis, and supporting thriving, resilient communities alongside a strong rural economy. Planning is central to this mission—helping to shape how land is used, how places evolve, and how we guide investment to deliver a future where people, nature and place work together.

This is a senior role within the Communities and Place Planning team. You will coordinate and support delivery of the new Local Development and Land Use Plan, translating national policy, evidence and local priorities into a clear and deliverable spatial land use and development strategy. Working collaboratively across the organisation and with a wide range of partners, you will help ensure strategy supports climate action, nature recovery and high-quality place-making.

The role requires both strategic oversight and practical delivery focus, alongside a strong contribution to mentoring, leadership and continuous improvement within the planning service.

We are looking for people who can bring professionalism, insight and commitment to the National Park Authority, which is the full planning authority for the National Park.
