We are looking for a Maintenance Worker / Handyperson to join our team at Loch Arthur. Loch Arthur is a community with a varied building stock, including large shared houses, workshops, farm buildings, and our farm shop buildings. We are looking for someone to assist in the day-to-day maintenance of these buildings. This position is full time (minimum 37.5 hours per week) with a rate of pay of £14.49 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting and supporting in all aspects of buildings maintenance.
  • Responding to maintenance and repair needs as they arise, prioritising and planning in conjunction with the building and development group.
  • Keeping records and liaising with the relevant people responsible for the administration and management of this area.
  • Ensuring safe working practices and assisting in regular checks of machinery and equipment.
  • Working in accordance with Health and Safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience and skills in many aspects of day-to-day building maintenance and repair.
  • Understanding of the work of Loch Arthur in supporting adults with learning disabilities in this unique environment.
  • Applicants must undergo PVG clearance with Disclosure Scotland.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role.
