This role will be responsible for the local amplification and implementation of total omnichannel marketing across all product categories and consumer touch points, ensuring strong market business performance while aligning with global and EMEA brand directions. The key focus is to drive brand equity, sales and market share through our Direct to Consumer (Boutiques, Website) and Key Retailer Partners. Responsibilities will also include leading and developing: Product Marketing, Retailer Trade Marketing, Visual Merchandising and all aspects of Media – Owned social media, Paid Social, Print and OOH Marketing and Earned PR and Influencers.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in demonstrating a strategic consumer centric, omnichannel approach and thrive in an entrepreneurial and empowering culture to seek opportunities and make them happen with passion and conviction.

Major Responsibilities
  • Creating and implementing an annual and 3YP UK and Ireland Product and Consumer Marketing strategy that supports the achievement of brand objectives including brand equity and clarity, recruitment, retention, net sales, operating profit, market rank share and category objectives.
  • Further drive brand equity and clarity, ensuring the consumer sees one brand across all channels, thereby driving the omni-channel approach.
  • Ensure strong local relevance while leveraging global and EMEA toolkits, calendars and brand guidelines.
  • Oversee the total alignment of the marketing calendar and consumer marketing activities across earned, owned (organic social, instore VM) and paid media (paid social, print, OOH, events), influencer and press communications, CRM, Events, VM and Retailer programmes.
  • Promotional calendar to maximise high traffic moments whilst reducing reliance on promotions.
  • Drive product discovery by initiating outreach marketing efforts and partnering with trending, brand-aligned businesses/brands to introduce customers to the product.
  • Leading and supporting Retail, Brand.com, Key Retailer Partners, QVC and B2B Marketing, to drive traffic across all distribution touchpoints.
  • Initiating and delivering locally relevant consumer programmes and campaigns which are based on UK and Ireland insights and additive to the global brand equity.
  • Responsible for consumer insights and bringing the insights into action: focus groups, Brand Health Tracker, market research, Circana market share reports.
  • Deploy and localise EMEA CRM and performance frameworks for the UK & Ireland market, optimising acquisition, engagement and loyalty through local relevant activation.
  • Responsible for Product Marketing including local kits, product architecture, pricing, SKU rationalisation, forecasting, promotions, E&O management as well competitor analysis including NPD market analysis.
  • Define and deliver our local philanthropic initiatives and activities, ensure support of all International L’Occitane Foundation initiatives and local charity partners.
P&L
  • Execute and measure ROI of Advertising by Channel, Campaign and Promotions. Providing clear feedback on any pilots and insight including ROI.
  • Budget creation and management for Media, Press and Communications, Events and Partnerships, Promotions, Samples, Visual Merchandising and in line with strategic guidelines.
  • Manage the ongoing allocation of budget expenses in order to match objectives.
Collaboration
  • This role will partner closely with the Managing Director for UK & Ireland and the EMEA Marketing Director to set the strategic priorities for the brand, identify and establish how to maximise opportunities to drive the business by engaging identified key consumer target groups by category and channel, in an omnichannel approach.
  • Collaborate with the Ecommerce & Commercial to achieve full funnel omnichannel consumer engagement, strong ROAS and aligned investment choices in line with brand strategy.
  • As a close partner to Commercial, Ecommerce, Finance and Supply Chain you will work collaboratively to deliver the direction of the brand and be accountable for excellence in execution across all consumer touch points.
  • Working closely with the Regional Marketing team, ensuring synergies across regional and local marketing plans, executing best-in-class activations in line with campaign toolboxes.
  • Partner with EMEA Marketing Director on Product and Campaign asset development, providing local input and feedback.
Leadership
  • A key guardian of ensuring Diversity and Inclusion authentically shows up in our everyday business, consumer facing and internal culture.
  • Lead Sustainability KPIs for Marketing, reducing waste and making sustainable choices in purchasing and supplier decisions.
  • Drive the team through empowerment and enablement, adopting a coaching style to encourage growth and development.
What We Need From You
  • Strong relationship management is a must for this role. There will be regular liaison with stakeholders in the Central International office, regional office in London, the field, Retailers and external suppliers.
  • Have experience in a relevant industry, though not necessarily within beauty.
  • Proven experience in both Product Marketing, Consumer Marketing and Trade marketing with key retailers will be essential.
  • A progressive, inspiring and approachable leadership style with team development and coaching skills.
  • Strong change and transformation execution experience.
  • Enjoys creating a strategic approach and roadmap and motivating stakeholders across different departments to activate.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities within ambiguity and unlock insight-driven creativity.
  • Naturally curious with a strong interest in the consumer, culture and trends, enthusiasm and passion is a must.
  • Impactful presenter, able to convey strategies and programmes effectively across different audiences and gain buy in across stakeholders at national and international level across conferences, retailer strategy meetings, round table and business review meetings.
  • Demonstrate both a creative and commercial mind‑set.
