As HR Business Partner for Retail, you will work closely with Area and Store Managers to build high performing, engaged, and confident teams who deliver an exceptional customer experience in line with our brand promise. You’ll take a lead role in shaping the Retail Academy journey, support store-level change and restructuring, and act as a key driver of our learning and development culture.

What Will You Do?
As HR Business Partner for Retail, you will work closely with Area and Store Managers to build high performing, engaged, and confident teams who deliver an exceptional customer experience in line with our brand promise. You’ll take a lead role in shaping the Retail Academy journey, support store-level change and restructuring, and act as a key driver of our learning and development culture.
You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving retail environment, showing resilience, self-motivation, and a passion for brand elevation through people.
As this role is a fixed term contract for 18 months, there are some key elements of the role that will need focus. The key responsibilities for this role will be;
Employee Relations – Built on Trust

  • Provide expert, balanced guidance on employee relations issues such as grievances, disciplinaries, and absence.
  • Manage complex and high-risk ER cases with discretion and care.
  • Support leaders to act early and fairly, protecting both people and brand reputation.

Restructuring & Change – Delivering Impact

  • Lead the people aspects of store change, including restructures, closures, and realignments.
  • Manage individual and collective consultation processes in line with legal and brand standards.
  • Act as a change partner, helping store teams remain positive, clear, and connected throughout transitions.

Brand Elevation & Culture

  • Ensure our values and brand purpose are reflected in every people decision.
  • Role model brand behaviours and elevate the people experience across every store touchpoint.
  • Collaborate with L&D and Marketing to align team development with the retail experience and customer journey.

  • Strategic HR Partnering: Ability to align HR initiatives with business goals and drive organizational success.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Skilled in empathy, conflict resolution, and building strong relationships at all levels.
  • Change Management: Experienced in leading and supporting change within complex retail environments, including omnichannel transformations.
  • Talent Management: Expertise in workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Competent in analyzing HR metrics and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Communication & Influencing: Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills, able to influence and inspire leadership teams.
  • Resilience & Adaptability: Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with evolving priorities.
  • Coaching & Development: Skilled in mentoring managers and supporting employee growth and engagement
