We are a well-established and growing organisation based in Glasgow, committed to fostering a dynamic and inclusive workplace. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a proactive HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team and support key HR functions across the business. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR and contribute to a positive work environment.
As an HR Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of HR operations. You will assist with recruitment, employee relations, training coordination, and HR administration while working closely with the wider team to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the recruitment process, including job postings, screening applications, and coordinating interviews
- Preparing HR documentation, including employment contracts, offer letters, and onboarding materials
- Maintaining and updating employee records in compliance with GDPR and company policies
- Supporting payroll processes by tracking absences, new hires, and contract changes
- Assisting in organising training sessions and employee development initiatives
- Handling employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, and workplace procedures
- Contributing to HR projects such as employee engagement, wellbeing programs, and diversity initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies
Who We Are Looking For:
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience in HR or an administrative role is advantageous but not essential
- Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a willingness to learn HR software
