Responsibilities
- Make sure games and applications are linguistically bug‑free and meet the best user experience.
- Check in‑game text for accuracy, correctness, and cultural appropriateness.
- Follow the Universally Speaking LQA process and maintain professional standards.
- Use industry‑standard bug databases to write detailed bug reports.
- Track bug resolution and verify that fixes are implemented correctly.
- Become an LQA expert across a broad range of Indie to AAA projects.
- Own, manage, create, and execute test cases throughout the project life cycle.
- Collaborate with developers to gather test requirements and support all features of the project.
- Proactively look for improvements, take ownership of additional activities, and create efficiencies.
- Cooperate with the QA team.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of Czech.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Passion for video games.
- Team player capable of working under pressure within tight deadlines.
- Pro‑active, tenacious, and enthusiastic.
- Strong focus on quality and keen eye for detail.
- Comfortable with computers (word processing, database handling, record keeping, MS Office).
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
- Experience with LQA testing tools (test case management, text editing).
- Working knowledge of CAT tools (Memo Q).
- Knowledge of the video game industry and trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in linguistics (desirable but not essential).
