About us
At Wellspring Settlement, you’ll be part of something bigger than a job. Wellspring Settlement has grown out of a long history of community action and initiative. The organisation was created in 2020, from two organisations: Wellspring Healthy Living Centre and Barton Hill Settlement and continues the legacy of both. We offer a varied working environment where no two days are ever the same! We work closely with the local community, and many of our spaces are open-access. Whatever your role, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with local people and contribute to our programme of events and activities.
About the Role
Wellspring Settlement is looking for a Horizons Peer and Community Coordinator to lead and coordinate peer‑led recovery and community development activities, supporting individuals to engage with and sustain recovery. The role focuses on recruiting, training and supervising Peer Mentors; facilitating access to treatment, aftercare and mutual aid; and building a strong local recovery community through ongoing support, structured check‑ins, and collaborative partnership working.
Location: On‑Site/Community Space role split across Wellspring Settlement, Bristol Drugs Project, Community Venues and Community generally
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £27,393 – £30,382 successful applicant starts at the bottom of the scale.
Hours: Full‑time, 35 hours per week.
Reports to: Community & Partnership Manager
Holiday: 5 weeks annual leave (pro-rata) plus all bank holidays.
Sick Pay: 6 weeks full pay, and 6 weeks ½ pay, over rolling year, pro‑rata
Training and Development Opportunities: All mandatory training and job‑specific training are offered
Pension Contribution: Pension Scheme, combined 8% (employer 3%, employee 5%)
