This is a consultative, telephone-based sales role where you’ll engage directly with business owners and decision-makers across the county. You’ll take time to understand each client’s goals before recommending tailored advertising strategies from our digital display and print portfolio. To be considered, you must live within commuting distance of our Basildon office and be available Monday–Friday during office hours.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and win new business by proactively contacting potential clients through cold calling and outbound sales activity.
- Work to clear financial targets and KPIs, consistently aiming to exceed monthly revenue and performance goals.
- Manage and grow existing client accounts, providing ongoing support and spotting opportunities to upsell and increase client spend.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline, using a consultative approach to move prospects through the sales cycle.
- Build long-term, trusted relationships with clients by delivering expert advice and excellent service.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and successful delivery of client campaigns.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and LOCALiQ's evolving product suite to remain competitive.
- Represent LOCALiQ with professionalism and credibility as an ambassador for our regional news brands.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the confidence to speak to business owners and decision-makers.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and guide conversations toward successful outcomes.
- Comfortable and confident making outbound calls and generating new business through proactive outreach.
- Skilled in understanding client needs, handling objections, and closing deals over the phone.
- Committed to delivering exceptional customer service at every stage.
- Experience in outbound calling and telesales (B2B experience advantageous but not essential).
- Ability to nurture existing client accounts and identify opportunities to add value.

- Understanding of multimedia advertising (digital and print) is beneficial, though full training is provided.
- Must be able to commute to the Basildon office daily.
