Advance your sales career with LOCALiQ. Join LOCALiQ, part of Newsquest Media Group, as a Field Sales Executive and become a key player in helping local businesses grow through powerful, results-driven advertising solutions. This is a field-based, consultative sales role where you'll book meetings in your territory and work face-to-face with business owners and decision-makers. You'll represent some of the region's most trusted local news brands and offer a cutting-edge mix of digital and print advertising solutions tailored to each client's goals.

From first contact through to closing the deal, you'll build strong relationships and deliver solutions that make a real impact. We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for sales and new business development. Someone with a bit of fire in their belly, who enjoys meeting new people, starting conversations and creating opportunities. You'll be motivated by targets, excited by the challenge of winning new business and ambitious to build a successful long-term career in sales. Attitude is just as important as experience. We want someone resilient, positive and coachable, who can take feedback on board, learn quickly and develop into a top-performing sales professional. If you've got energy, drive and a strong work ethic, we'll give you the support and training to help you succeed. However, you must be able to demonstrate some B2B sales experience from your previous roles.

You'll be out in your territory meeting clients in their working environments, gaining a real understanding of their businesses and showing them how LOCALiQ can help them achieve their goals. To succeed in this role, you must be based within or near the territory, hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle for work-related travel. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday during office hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and win new business by proactively reaching out to potential clients across your region using cold calling and outbound sales techniques.
  • Work to clear financial targets and KPIs, consistently striving to exceed monthly revenue goals and performance benchmarks.
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts, providing ongoing support, identifying upsell opportunities, and increasing client spend through strategic recommendations.
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, using a consultative approach to move prospects through the sales cycle.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients by providing expert advice, excellent service, and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and campaign delivery for new clients.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and LOCALiQ’s evolving product suite to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Represent LOCALiQ with professionalism and credibility, acting as a trusted ambassador for our regional news brands.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • A passion for sales and new business development.
  • Confident speaking with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Driven by targets, results and career progression.
  • Resilient, determined and able to bounce back from setbacks.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with plenty of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Coachable, eager to learn and open to feedback.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Previous sales or customer-facing experience would be advantageous.
  • Own vehicle suitable for business use.
  • Full UK driving licence.
