RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a business who are recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their Engineering Department. In this role you will use your engineering skills to carry out the electrical maintenance, repair, upgrade and refurbishment of heavy plant and machinery equipment (such as linkspans bridges, passenger boarding bridges, material handling equipment, etc) and electrical installations to buildings. Suitable applicants will have: Minimum Level 3 Qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds) or ONC in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering. Experience of working on LV electrical distribution systems, PLCs and automated control systems. The ability to analyse and diagnose faults on electrical and control circuits. Making decisions on whether equipment is safe to operate. Ability to work proactively and unsupervised either independently or as part of a team. Ability to organise and complete work efficiently and effectively within required timescales. This position will involve shift working, including weekends and on-call.
