RequirementsWe are currently recruiting freelance Interpreters from English to Japanese to be part of our growing Teams.

The linguist will provide simultaneous and/or consecutive interpreting services, ensuring that:

Target text and messages are correctly conveyed and reflect the meaning of the source

High accuracy, key terminology are maintained and inconsistencies and incorrect cultural references spotted and properly addressed

Eligible to work in the UK

Native speaker in one of the languages involved

Minimum 2 years\’ Interpreting experience

Excellent command of the English language in both comprehension and writing

Linguistic and cultural competences of both source and target language

Adaptive to fast-paced work environment with multiple changes of project priorities

Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Problem solving and decision‐making skills

Experience with simultaneous & consecutive interpreting service

Experience with Interpretation systems (bidule)

Experience in translating technical courses would be a plus

Availability to either commuting or traveling to work onsite

Ability to ensure the highest level of quality by following all interpreting guidelines

Excellent communication, language and organisational skills

Be punctual, reliable, confident, and professional

Qualifications

Bachelor\’s and/or Master\’s degree and/or Certificate of Higher Education in Languages, Translation, Interpretation, Philology, Linguistics or related fields

Any qualifications related to Interpreting/Translation would be welcome but not mandatory
