Freelance Spanish Interpreters required (London, Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester areas)

We are currently recruiting freelance interpreters from English to Spanish to join our growing teams. The linguist will provide simultaneous and/or consecutive interpreting services, ensuring that:
- Target text and messages are correctly conveyed and reflect the meaning of the source
- High accuracy, key terminology are maintained, and inconsistencies and incorrect cultural references are properly addressed
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Native speaker in one of the involved languages
- Minimum 2 years’ interpreting experience
- Excellent command of English in both comprehension and writing
- Linguistic and cultural competence in both source and target languages
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment with multiple project priorities
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with simultaneous and consecutive interpreting
- Experience with interpretation systems (e.g., Bidule)
- Experience translating technical courses is a plus
- Availability to commute or travel to onsite locations
- Commitment to high-quality standards following interpreting guidelines
- Excellent communication, organizational, and language skills
- Punctuality, reliability, confidence, and professionalism
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree and/or Certificate of Higher Education in Languages, Translation, Interpretation, Philology, Linguistics, or related fields
- Qualifications related to interpreting/translation are welcome but not mandatory
