We are recruiting freelance interpreters from English to Italian to join our growing team. The interpreter will provide simultaneous and/or consecutive interpreting services, ensuring that:
- Target messages are correctly conveyed and reflect the source meaning
- High accuracy and key terminology are maintained
- Inconsistencies and cultural references are properly addressed
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Native speaker in one of the involved languages
- Minimum 2 years of interpreting experience
- Excellent command of English in comprehension and writing
- Strong linguistic and cultural competence in both source and target languages
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments with changing priorities
- Professionalism under pressure and ability to meet deadlines
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with simultaneous and consecutive interpreting
- Experience with interpretation systems (e.g., Bidule)
- Experience in translating technical courses is a plus
- Willingness to commute or travel onsite
- Commitment to quality and adherence to interpreting guidelines
- Excellent communication, language, and organizational skills
- Punctuality, reliability, confidence, and professionalism
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree and/or Certificate of Higher Education in Languages, Translation, Interpretation, Philology, Linguistics, or related fields
- Additional qualifications in interpreting/translation are welcome but not mandatory
