We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team based at the Wharfedale Urgent Treatment Centre, working across a 24/7 rota. This is a pivotal leadership role within our Contact Centre operations.
Role Overview
This role provides the opportunity to work autonomously as an independent healthcare practitioner within a minor injuries unit. You will deliver a high quality of care across agreed age groups and presenting conditions, undertaking assessment, diagnosis, treatment, onward referrals and safe discharge for minor illnesses and injuries. You will also support clinical mentorship, contribute to a positive working environment and collaborate with the multi‑disciplinary team.
Pay Rates
- In Hours: £29.89 per hour (Monday to Friday, 08.00 – 18.00)
- Out of Hours: £38.86 per hour (Monday to Friday, 18.00 – 08.00 and all day Saturday and Sunday)

4‑week rolling rota – Monday to Sunday, 08:00 – 17:59. Specific days and weeks rotate; see schedule for detailed patterns.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Independently undertake assessment, diagnosis, treatment/referral and safe discharge of patients with minor illness and undifferentiated minor injuries
- Maintain effective communication with patients, carers and professionals to ensure seamless service delivery
- Provide professional and clinical advice within the multi‑disciplinary team
- Demonstrate evidence‑based care, working within agreed guidelines and protocols
- Actively promote collaborative working with other healthcare professionals within LCD and external organisations
- Support ongoing professional development through training, clinical supervision, and participation in teaching, mentoring and re‑validation activities
- Ensure quality of patient care remains at the centre of clinical decision‑making on every shift
