Job Role Phlebotomist Band 3: £25,760 - £27,476 37.5 hours per week Permanent Location: Locala-wide, working across North and South localities

Responsibilities

Are you a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist who is committed to providing safe, high-quality care? Locala is inviting applications for a full-time Phlebotomist to support patients and services across our North and South localities. Working across Locala services, you will provide a responsive and professional phlebotomy service in a range of community settings.

  • Collecting blood samples safely and efficiently in accordance with policies, procedures and infection prevention standards
  • Confirming patient identity, gaining consent and providing clear information and reassurance
  • Accurately labelling, documenting and preparing samples.
  • Undertaking ECG recordings; training will be provided
  • Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative colleagues to deliver a reliable, patient-centred service

This is a 37.5-hour post providing cover across Locala’s North and South localities. You will need to travel between community bases and clinical settings according to service requirements, so the ability to travel independently across the Locala footprint is essential.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Competent and confident in venepuncture, with relevant training or experience
  • Organised, reliable and able to work independently across different locations
  • A clear and compassionate communicator who maintains patient dignity and confidentiality
