This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated pharmacy technician to join our friendly, established Specialist Services Medicines Optimisation Team. You will play a key role in supporting the safe, effective use of medicines across the organisation, helping to drive improvements in quality, safety, and patient care.

You will support the development and implementation of medicines policies, lead on Patient Group Directions (PGDs), formulary development, procurement, and compliance with medicines standards. You will also undertake service assurance visits across our services, identify risks, and support teams to improve medicines practice.

Requirements:

  • Registered pharmacy technician with relevant experience and a strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and legislation, particularly around Patient Group Directions.
  • Ability to apply this within a community healthcare setting.
  • Self‑motivated, organised, and passionate about improving patient care.
  • This role is not eligible for sponsorship and candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK.
