Locala Community Dental Services are part of the West Yorkshire Community Dental Service (WYCDS), a collaborative of Community Dental Services supporting patients across Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield. Our goal is to ensure that eligible patients within West Yorkshire have equitable access to preventive and dental care, fostering a collaborative approach to improve patient outcomes, promote oral health education and introduce innovative solutions that address the unique dental challenges of our diverse communities. The services provide NHS dental care for children and adults with additional or complex needs across Kirklees and Calderdale, delivered in welcoming health centre clinics and hospital settings with compassionate, high-quality care.

Responsibilities- Band B Dentist – responsibilities at the Band B level (see JD for details).
- Band C Specialist Dentist – responsibilities at the Band C Specialist level (see JD for details).
- Work across multiple locations in North Kirklees and Calderdale, with full-time and part-time opportunities (Permanent, Fixed Term).
- Provide NHS dental care for children and adults with additional or complex needs in both community and hospital settings.
- Deliver preventive care, undertake clinical treatment, and contribute to oral health education and service innovation within the West Yorkshire Collaborative.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and support a pioneering community dental service.
- Relevant experience and qualifications in the areas listed for Band B Dentist or Band C Specialist Dentist.
- Eligibility to join the NHS Pension Scheme where applicable.
- Salary bands: Band B Dentist (£81,716 – £95,579) and Band C Specialist Dentist (£97,769 – £112,330).
- We offer expert training and the opportunity to gain a broad range of experiences with Locala across the dynamic West Yorkshire Collaborative.
- These roles are eligible for the NHS Pension Scheme.
