Job Summary

Specialist Speech And Language Therapist (Children's Expert Team).

Band 6: £39,959 - £48,117 (pro rata).

22.5 Hours per week.

Fixed Term – 6 Months – Possibility of extending.

Location – North Kirklees (covering Dewsbury, Batley and Spenborough).

Main Duties

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Children's Community Team as part of the Speech and Language Therapy Service on a temporary contract, working with children with complex needs (Eating, Drinking and Swallowing, and Communication).

You will work within the Child Development Centre, mainstream schools, special schools, early years settings and homes in North Kirklees.

You will deliver care to children and young people with eating, drinking and swallowing (EDS) and speech, language and communication needs, providing relevant support and training to families and key colleagues across health, education and social care.

A relevant degree in Speech & Language Therapy and experience of having worked with children with EDS and complex SLCN across a range of settings is considered essential.
