Responsibilities

The Family Hubs Team in Calderdale is an evolving multi‑disciplinary service offer, complementing the Calderdale 0-19 Service and the wider Children’s Services offer.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Nurse for Children Not In School to join our Family Hubs Team.

The post holder will have established links across the Family Hub network and other Calderdale partners. They will be responsible for delivering specialist support and advocacy for children and young people in KS3 and KS4 who are not regularly attending school. This includes children and young people who are exhibiting emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), those who are persistently absent, those at risk of exclusion, and those who are electively home educated (EHE).

A key element of the role is to gather data on this cohort of young people to inform and support development of service where required.

This role is not applicable for sponsorship and candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK.
