Responsibilities

Locala Dental Care provides comprehensive dental care for children and adults with additional needs, and for other priority groups, across Calderdale, Kirklees and Huddersfield.

We are looking for an experienced Dental Nurse who identifies with our values and is passionate about providing care for those most in need.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic Dental Nurses for all our dental sites and Calderdale Royal Hospital.

Main duties of the job :

  • Provide high quality clinical support in a wide range of treatments for a broad client base, including adults and children with additional needs, complex medical histories, challenging behaviours and phobic patients.
  • Create and maintain an environment to provide a high standard of care for patients, adhering to IPC protocol.
  • Perform some administration and reception assistance.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, build good working relationships and be an effective team player dedicated to high‑quality service.
  • Maintain a welcoming and positive approach towards patients.
  • Show flexibility in work approach; rotation across all sites required.
  • Be fully registered with the General Dental Council.
  • Undergo the relevant disclosure check with the Criminal Records Bureau.
  • Not applicable for sponsorship; candidates must demonstrate right to work in the UK.
