This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a highly motivated, dynamic, and integrated team. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and innovative integrated Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding team within the Directorate of Nursing, Quality and Professional Practice.
The successful candidate will have a key role in developing and embedding safeguarding leadership and excellent professional practice across all services to ensure statutory requirements are met and colleagues across the organisation are supported and confident in their safeguarding responsibilities.
You will use expert knowledge and professional advice in relation to children and adults at risk to progress the safeguarding agenda internally within the organisation, and alongside multi-agency partnerships.
The successful candidate will need to have strong inspiring leadership and organisational skills, extensive experience of working within the safeguarding arena, and advanced communication and negotiation skills to work closely with clinical colleagues and external statutory partners.
The successful candidate will need to hold a current nursing registration (e.g., NMC) and have experience of working with children and adults within the safeguarding arena. You must have excellent communication and negotiation skills as you will need to work closely with Locala colleagues and external statutory partners.
A thorough understanding of the policies, standards and legislative framework supporting everyday practice, including the Children’s Acts 1989, 2004; Care Act 2014; Mental Capacity Act 2005, is essential.
Please note that this post is a job share and will have a focus on safeguarding children at risk, although there is an expectation to also cover safeguarding adults at risk when required.
