There is currently one post available across both of our sites. The successful candidate will be expected to provide cross-site cover between Stockport and Tameside as required to meet the needs of the service.
Responsibilities
Locala Sexual Health Service delivers specialist sexual health care across Stockport, Tameside, Wigan, Leigh, Dewsbury, Huddersfield and Bradford. We are a welcoming, inclusive and non-judgemental service providing STI testing and treatment, routine and emergency contraception, referrals for termination of pregnancy, and support for vulnerable patients across a range of settings. We are committed to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care at every stage of the patient journey — from the first point of contact through to treatment and follow‑up. Compassion, professionalism, flexibility and an open‑minded approach are central to the success of this role.
The successful candidate will join our multidisciplinary team within Locala Sexual Health Clinics, working alongside medical, nursing and administrative colleagues to deliver holistic, evidence‑based sexual health care. This role involves direct patient contact and responsibility for assessing patient needs, planning, implementing and evaluating personalised care programmes. Care delivery will take into account individual lifestyles, gender identity, sexual orientation and cultural backgrounds to ensure an inclusive and supportive patient experience.
The post holder will work autonomously within their professional scope of practice, making clinical decisions and managing patients presenting with sexual health concerns and/or contraception needs, providing appropriate treatment, advice and interventions in line with current evidence and best practice.
