Join our team at Terex as a Financial Controller responsible for the multi-million-pound manufacturing business in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. Lead the Finance team, provide strategic financial guidance, and support profitability and efficiency while ensuring strong financial control.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct a finance team of 4 (Financial & Cost Accountant), overseeing financial and management accounting processes, P&L and Balance Sheet review, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain complete financial control in compliance with applicable GAAP, corporate accounting policy, and audit requirements.
  • Oversee monthly site reporting and communicate results to all stakeholders.
  • Oversee the Monthly R&O and quarterly forecasting process.
  • Participate in formulating and delivering business strategy.
  • Drive business improvement with accurate and timely financial information, working closely with cross-functional managers.
  • Provide support to commercial decision-making processes and business development.
  • Provide accurate Machine Costing information and implement cycle counting procedures.
  • Ensure annual planning and budgeting is delivered on time and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Manage the working capital cycle with focus on inventory and receivables control.
  • Provide cash flow analysis.
  • Support successful implementation of new IT systems and structures.
  • Establish credit limits, resolve disputes, and monitor collections.
  • Support and approve all Capex strategy.
  • Oversee monthly reporting for site, including commercial and brand packs.
  • Enable tracking of brand sales and margins by model, discounts, etc.
  • Support monthly sales and operating (S&OP) reviews.

Qualifications

  • University degree.
  • Qualified Accountant ACA, CIMA, ACCA (or the international equivalent). Would consider someone qualified by experience.

Experience & Skills

  • Significant experience as a financial or business analyst. Operational experience within business would be advantageous.
  • Expert Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and ability to learn a corporate ERP system.
  • Experience working with top management.
  • Excellent business acumen and ability to partner with the General Manager while maintaining fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting and other business processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge including GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage staff in an international environment.
  • High ethics and integrity; ability to meet deadlines and operate with a sense of urgency.
  • Customer-focused with strong time management and attention to detail.
