As a Quality Controller at Terex, based in Cookstown, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping produce equipment that helps improve the lives of people around the world.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QC will be involved in a wide range of activities in relation to the inspection of chassis and associated ancillary equipment, including cut/folded production parts and contribute to the sites already improving Quality culture.

Career Key Responsibilities / "What you'll do"

  • Actively addressing and raising quality concerns on a day-to-day basis
  • PDI of chassis and associated ancillary equipment ( using 3D model software and uploading reports )
  • Paint checks of chassis/horn/Power units
  • Routine inspection of internally fabricated parts and sub assembly units before moving to main build
  • PDI reports, Morning meetings, and other associated paperwork
  • Contribute to the prompt resolution of customers FRACAS ( External N/Cs )
  • Maintain Quality gates in designated areas
  • Responsibility to elevate non conformances using internal red tag process
  • Supporting in quality investigations as required
  • Internal auditing ( 5S, LSOP etc )
  • Adhering to strict quality targets
  • Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
  • To maintain compliance to all Health and Safety Regulations

Experience Level

  • Experience in a quality/inspector role.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience of working within a Quality management system
  • Knowledge of using measurement equipment ( Weld gauge, Taper gauge, Angle finder etc )
  • Experience of working within the manufacturing process
  • Understanding the weld process
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Good awareness of health and safety
  • Ability to create clear handwritten reports
  • Knowledge of Terex cut/fold process
  • Experience in continuous improvement.

39 Hour Week. Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 3:45pm, Friday 7:00am – 1:00pm
