Join our team at Terex Cookstown and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated Machine Operator to contribute to our Production team. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Plasma and Laser cutting machines to cut steel to the required specification.
- Monitor cutting programs, check parts against drawings, and amend working parameters when necessary.
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
- Meet set targets while working on the production line.
- Adhere to strict quality targets.
- Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
- Complete daily safety checks to ensure machine and work equipment is in good working order.
- Maintain compliance with all Health and Safety Regulations.
Experience & Qualifications:
The successful candidate should be hard‑working, a good team player with excellent communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. Flexibility to work overtime as and when required is essential. Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous, however on‑site training will be provided. All applicants must demonstrate, through their application form, how they meet the criteria for the position applied for. Pay & Working Hours:
4‑Day Week: Monday – Wednesday 3:45 pm to 2:15 am and Thursday 3:45 pm to 1:15 am. We offer competitive rates of pay, Team Member bonus, Westfield healthcare, 33 holidays, pension, life assurance, LinkedIn Learning, on‑site free parking, and Perks discount card.
