Responsibilities
- Understand technical plans and measurement requirements
- Inspect and test cuts and joints using precision measuring instruments
- Meet production targets on the production line
- Ensure safe and controlled movement of production parts
- Adhere to Health & Safety at all times
- Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement
Experience / Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and measuring tools—particularly welding symbols
- Experience in reading basic 3D CAD drawings
- Understanding of fabrication and use of jigs
- Proficiency in MIG mild steel welding (preferably in heavy engineering)
- Relevant experience or NVQ Level 2 qualification
- Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and responsibilities
- Previous experience in a fast-moving manufacturing/heavy equipment environment is advantageous
