Responsibilities
- Vehicle driving of lorries and forklift trucks, delivering goods to Terex facilities and customers.
- Loading and unloading of vehicles to ensure safe and secure transport of products.
- Checking goods off with customers and obtaining signatures.
- Providing excellent customer service and handling delivery issues effectively.
- Carrying out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
- Driving safely and in accordance with the law, including tachograph regulations and driver hour limits.
- Looking after the vehicle, ensuring it is not subjected to unnecessary damage.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the driving cab.
- Operating forklift trucks and delivering materials safely throughout the site.
- Operating the crane (if applicable) safely and in accordance with correct procedures.
- Complying with fuel directives.
- Reporting any accidents or damage to company or third-party property in accordance with company procedures.
- Completing the vehicle daily inspection sheet and attending essential training.
- Providing support in the yard and any other reasonable duties.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety Policy.
Qualifications & Education
- HGV Class 1 Driving License.
- Mathematics & English GCSE – Grade C or above, or an equivalent qualification.
- Up-to-date Driver Qualification Card (CPC Card).
- At least 2 years of driving experience, including transporting heavy plant and machinery and multi-drop deliveries.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability, good time-keeping and attendance record, and flexibility to work overtime or alternative shift work as required.
- Aware that the role involves heavy manual labour.
