Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will work alone and as part of a team to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand technical plans and have the skills required for working out measurements.
  • Inspect and test cuts and joins, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Meet set targets whilst working on the production line.
  • Ensure the safe and controlled movement of production parts.
  • Ensure Health & Safety is adhered to at all times.
  • Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
Experience Level:
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, specifications and measuring tools – particularly welding symbols.
  • Experience in reading basic 3D CAD drawings.
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of fabrication and use of jigs.
  • Demonstrate good ability in MIG mild steel welding (preferably in heavy engineering).
  • Relevant experience or qualified to NVQ Level 2.
  • Knowledge of H&S procedures & responsibilities.
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-moving manufacturing/heavy equipment environment would be an advantage.
