We currently have an opportunity for a Material Handler/Stores Operative.
Key Responsibilities / What you'll do
- Reporting to Materials Manager you will be responsible for the management and control of bought in parts (BIP’s), including ordering, receipting and issuing.
- Stock rotation, quality and stock counts will be a key element of the role.
- Use of PIT in a safe and efficient manner including Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Pallet Stacker, Tugger Truck etc.
- Processing of Parts received to both Production and Stores.
- Prompt and accurate control of paperwork.
- Loading and Unloading of Materials deliveries.
- Compliance with inventory control measures.
- Compliance with internal environmental and waste management procedures.
- Following Standard Work procedures.
- General Housekeeping Duties.
Experience Level
- The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations (HSE) and proper manual handling techniques.
- Previous experience of working in stores/warehouse environment.
- Ability to manage inventory, follow procedures, and meet production deadlines.
- Basic IT skills and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
- Fork truck License, full training can be provided.
