We currently have an opportunity for a Material Handler/Stores Operative.

Key Responsibilities / What you'll do

  • Reporting to Materials Manager you will be responsible for the management and control of bought in parts (BIP’s), including ordering, receipting and issuing.
  • Stock rotation, quality and stock counts will be a key element of the role.
  • Use of PIT in a safe and efficient manner including Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Pallet Stacker, Tugger Truck etc.
  • Processing of Parts received to both Production and Stores.
  • Prompt and accurate control of paperwork.
  • Loading and Unloading of Materials deliveries.
  • Compliance with inventory control measures.
  • Compliance with internal environmental and waste management procedures.
  • Following Standard Work procedures.
  • General Housekeeping Duties.

Experience Level

  • The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations (HSE) and proper manual handling techniques.
  • Previous experience of working in stores/warehouse environment.
  • Ability to manage inventory, follow procedures, and meet production deadlines.
  • Basic IT skills and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Fork truck License, full training can be provided.
