As a Team Leader for the welding department, you will support daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are achieved. The role focuses on lean manufacturing, driving continuous improvement and engaging employees to achieve targets.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the welding team, scheduling workload and materials to ensure targets are met.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with all health and safety processes and procedures.
  • Maintaining a high‑quality standard within the production shed at all times.
  • Supporting the Production Supervisor to deliver, control and manage daily production of the shed to ensure on‑time delivery targets.
  • Liaising with other teams and departments daily.
  • Applying high standards of 5S.
  • Understanding of lean principles and methodology.
  • Any other reasonable duties.
Experience Level:
  • Significant production experience gained in a highly pressured and fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory or people‑management experience.
  • Good working knowledge of steel fabrication, machine parts and steel processing.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility for making good business decisions when required.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects at once.
  • Motivated self‑starter with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to drive quality improvements and meet targets.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good IT skills.
