As a Senior Coordinator, you will support the Registered Managers in overseeing the effective delivery of high‑quality care services. You will lead and guide a team of Care Coordinators, ensuring standards are maintained and the Local Solutions values are at the heart of everything we do.
PIONEERING
- Demonstrate commitment to Local Solutions Vision, Mission and Values, ensuring they are embedded in all aspects of service delivery.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by staying up to date with sector developments and best practice through training, research, and attendance at relevant events.
- Represent Local Solutions at local meetings and networking events to promote our services and partnerships.
- Collaborate across departments and branches to ensure flexible, responsive, and efficient service delivery.
KNOWLEDGEABLE
- Communicate business plan objectives and service performance targets to Care Coordinators, ensuring individual accountability aligns with organisational goals.
- Maintain accurate and effective record‑keeping, adhering to regulatory and company standards.
- Work closely with the Training and Recruitment Teams to ensure staffing levels and skills meet service demands.
- Support the preparation and attendance of Local Authority and regulatory visits and inspections.
- Ensure administrative responsibilities linked to the role are completed to a high standard.
COMPASSIONATE
- Foster positive, respectful communication with Service Users, families, staff, and professionals, promoting the reputation and values of Local Solutions.
- Support Care Coordinators in their supervisory roles, ensuring they provide empathetic guidance to frontline care teams.
- Proactively support staff wellbeing by conducting welfare calls, facilitating occupational health referrals, and organising return‑to‑work meetings.
- Step in to provide direct care in the community when required, demonstrating leadership by example.
RELIABLE
- Take responsibility for the daily delivery of quality care services to Service Users.
- Ensure team meetings, one‑to‑ones, and performance development reviews are consistently carried out by Care Coordinators and for Care Coordinators.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to incidents, complaints, and safeguarding concerns, escalating where necessary.
- Manage the working hours and rota of the Care Coordinator team in collaboration with the Operational Management Team.
- Participate in the out‑of‑hours senior on‑call rota to ensure continuity and responsiveness across the service.
- The post holder will carry out any other duties that are within scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by their line manager or director.

Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (minimum), with a commitment to achieving Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
- Experience in a senior or supervisory role within a domiciliary/home care environment.
- Sound understanding of CQC regulations, home care best practice, and person‑centred support.
- Experience of rota management, care planning, and staff supervision.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for community‑based duties.
- This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in using care management and scheduling software.
- Ability to work flexibly, respond to emergencies, and support out‑of‑hours services if required.
