Job Specification : Bank Live-In Carer Location : Liverpool and wider Merseyside Region Reports To : Domiciliary Care Coordinator / Registered Manager Type : Ad Hoc / Casual Contract (Live-In) Salary : 750 per week Role Overview Local Solutions is seeking compassionate and dedicated Live-In Carers to provide high-quality, person-centred care on an ad hoc basis to individuals in their own homes. This flexible role supports service users in maintaining independence, dignity, and quality of life, with placements ranging from emergency cover to short-term respite. Key Responsibilities – Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) – Support with mobility, medication, and nutritional needs – Assist with domestic tasks (cleaning, laundry, meal preparation) – Offer companionship and emotional support – Monitor wellbeing and escalate concerns to supervisors or health professionals – Maintain clear, accurate daily records – Respect client privacy, confidentiality, and autonomy – Adhere to Local Solutions policies, safeguarding standards, and care plans Person Specification Essential – Previous experience in a care role (minimum 6 months) – Ability to work independently and adapt to new environments – Strong interpersonal and communication skills – Right to work in the UK – Clear Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo one) – Availability for short-notice placements Desirable – NVQ Level 2 or above in Health Social Care – Experience supporting individuals with dementia, physical disabilities, or complex needs – Valid UK driving licence – First Aid and Manual Handling training Care Assistant Benefits Working as a Care Assistant for Local Solutions, you can expect the following great benefits: Paid training Free uniform, which includes an excellent quality fleece and waterproof coat.
