Location: Chestnut Nursery or Community House Nursery, Huddersfield

Hours: Up to 40 hours a week - at least 30 hours a week, Permanent

Salary: £26,956 (based on 40 hours a week)

The Role

  • Contribute to the delivery of high‑quality, responsive and inclusive early years provision that supports the holistic development of every child and their family.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, community partners and multi‑agency teams to embed LS2Y values and ensure children thrive in nurturing, stimulating and curiosity‑led environments.
  • Promote child‑centred practice, emotional wellbeing and play‑based learning aligned with the EYFS 2024–25 updates.
  • Assist in the efficient and effective day to day operation of the company’s nursery provision encouraging a friendly and stimulating environment and positive attitudes are established in a variety of social contexts.
  • Be the key person for building relationships with small groups of children and their parents/carers.

The role provides the opportunity to contribute to our wider work such as:

  • Health Projects: supporting the wider health and wellbeing of our families and the community LS2Y.
  • Families Together: working closely in partnership with other services to ensure families access the support they need.
  • Community Projects: LS2Y settings are embedded in their communities, with opportunities to contribute to events, employability support and nursery projects that connect families and local partners.
  • Cross‑site Working: as part of a wider organisation, there are opportunities to collaborate across different LS2Y nurseries, sharing best practice and supporting organisational initiatives.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified to Level 3 or above in Early Years.
  • Experienced in an early years setting.

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, EYFS, SEND, and Ofsted requirements.
