Deputy Manager LS2Y Nurseries
Chestnut Nursery, The Chestnut Centre, 2a Chestnut Street, Huddersfield, HD2 1HJ
Hours: Full-time, 30-40 hours per week, Permanent (We can offer a fixed contracted pattern of between 30 and 40 hours per week for the right candidate).
Salary: £29,640 (dependent on experience and qualifications, pro-rata for part-time hours)

We are seeking a motivated, organised, and experienced Deputy Manager to support the Nursery Manager and lead our team to deliver the very best standards of care and education.
As Deputy Manager, you will:
- Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery, taking charge in their absence.
- Act as a strong role model for staff, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and care.
- Work closely with room leaders to ensure quality routines, continuous provision, and environments reflect the Curiosity Approach ethos.
- Support with staff development coaching, mentoring, and ensuring consistency in practice.
- Contribute to administrative and office duties such as occupancy management, registers, staff rotas, observations, and parent communication.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance across the nursery.
- Support with planning, SEND provision, and transitions, ensuring all children's needs are met.
- Play an active role in developing ideas for seasonal planning, events, and nursery projects.

Families Together: working closely in partnership with other services to ensure families access the support they need.
Community Projects: LS2Y settings are embedded in their communities, with opportunities to contribute to events, employability support and nursery projects that connect families and local partners.
