Role Purpose As part of the Client and Market Engagement unit, this role supports LPPI's strategic objectives through market engagement, strategic partnerships, product development and external profile-building.
Reporting to the Chief Client & Partnerships Officer, the role will work across the business to support the continued development and visibility of LPPI and GLIL, coordinate product development activity, develop strategic partnerships and ensure LPPI has high-quality content and messaging for external events, conferences and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities Support delivery of LPPI's strategy through strategic partnerships, market engagement and business development activities.
Work with the Chief Client & Partnerships Officer to develop and maintain LPPI's partnership plan, identifying opportunities for collaboration and industry engagement across the LGPS and the wider UK and international pensions landscape.
Support oversight of LPPI's product development process, coordinating activity across investment, client, legal, compliance and marketing teams.
Support the continued visibility and growth of GLIL through stakeholder engagement, marketing materials and business development activity, working closely with the Client Relationships Team.
Coordinate content and messaging for external conferences, industry events, sponsorships and speaking opportunities, alongside the Marketing & Comms Team.
Work across the business to capture and develop thought leadership, product and market content for external audiences.
Identify and represent LPPI at industry events, conferences and stakeholder meetings where appropriate.
Build and maintain relationships with LPPI’s Partner Funds, other LGPS funds, pools, advisers, industry bodies and strategic stakeholders.
Maintain CRM records, engagement activity and partnership pipelines.
Support RFPs, DDQs, presentations and other external requests as required.
Work with Marketing & Communications to develop and maintain firm, product and strategy materials.
Support internal reporting on business development, partnerships, product development and market engagement activity.
Work closely with the Client Management team to support existing client relationships and engagement activity.
Requirements for the role Demonstrated understanding of the LGPS, UK pensions or institutional investment market.
Experience supporting strategic partnerships, business development or product development initiatives.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional projects.
Excellent communication, presentation and relationship management skills.
Experience developing external content, presentations and thought leadership materials.
