We're looking for an experienced development leader who can make an immediate impact.
Prisoners Building Homes (PBH) is seeking anInterim Development Lead to provide senior development leadership and hands-on development management during an important period of growth and transition.
This is not a purely strategic assignment. You'll combine portfolio-level oversight with direct intervention on priority, complex or stalled schemes - bringing structure and pace, strengthening development governance and helping turn opportunities and challenges into clear decisions and actions.
You'll need significant residential development, affordable housing or housebuilding experience, a strong track record of taking schemes from feasibility through planning and pre-construction, and the ability to quickly establish control in a complex and fast-moving environment.
We're particularly interested in people who arehands-on, decisive, commercially aware and comfortable operating with senior stakeholders , while working collaboratively across development, design, commercial and procurement disciplines.
Recruitment is being undertaken on a rolling basis, and an appointment may be made once a suitable candidate is identified.

Recruitment timetable
Recruitment will operate on a rolling basis for approximately 7-10 days. Applications will be shortlisted as they arrive, with interviews taking place on a rolling basis from 1 st September. Offers may be made as soon as suitable candidates are identified, so the recruitment process may close once an appointment is made. The successful associate preferred start date is September 2026.
