Company Overview
Local Maids is a modern, fast-growing domestic cleaning company focused on reliable recurring cleans and excellent customer experience. We combine vetted cleaners with simple online systems so customers can book, manage and adjust their cleaning with ease. Our priority is consistent service, clear communication, and long-term customer relationships.
Role Summary
This is a sales-led role. You will be the person who picks up new enquiries fast, follows up consistently, converts leads into booked cleans, and works through older leads to generate additional bookings. You’ll manage the pipeline in our CRM, handle inbound and outbound calls, and ensure bookings are scheduled correctly (postcode, availability, and continuity of cleaner where possible). You’ll be confident making decisions, driving outcomes, and working to clear weekly targets.
Key Responsibilities (Sales-First)
- Speed-to-lead: Call new enquiries quickly (same day where possible) and maximise conversion from first contact.
- Convert enquiries into bookings: Handle objections, explain the service clearly, and close bookings on the phone.
- Outbound follow-up: Work through older/colder leads daily (CRM lists) to re-engage and convert.
- Pipeline ownership: Use the CRM every day to update stages, notes, deal values, next actions and outcomes.
- Increase recurring revenue: Encourage suitable customers into regular cleaning schedules where appropriate (weekly/fortnightly/monthly).
- Quote and booking accuracy: Confirm key details (postcode, access, frequency, priorities) and book the right slot.
- Scheduling and continuity: Schedule/reschedule cleans efficiently by postcode and availability, aiming for the same cleaner wherever possible.
- Customer experience: Keep communication clear and professional via phone, email and messaging; reduce no-shows and last-minute issues through proactive follow-up.
- Team coordination: Liaise with the ops team/cleaners to ensure bookings are covered and any changes are actioned quickly.
Optional (Nice-to-Have) Responsibilities
Depending on experience and workload, you may also support: Cleaner recruitment support: screening calls/messages, booking interviews, basic onboarding admin, keeping a warm pool of cleaners for busy postcodes.
Success Measures (KPIs)
You’ll be measured on commercial outcomes, such as:
- Lead response time / contact rate
- New bookings per week (from inbound + reactivation)
- Lead-to-booking conversion rate
- Reactivation bookings from older leads
- Show-up rate / cancellation reduction
- CRM hygiene (notes, stages, next actions kept up to date)
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, telesales, lead conversion, or a high-volume call environment (service-based is ideal).
- Confident, persuasive phone manner with strong objection handling and the ability to close.
- Highly organised: you run your own follow-ups and never lose track of next actions.
- Comfortable working to targets and being accountable for results.
- Tech-savvy: confident using CRMs, calendars, spreadsheets, and multiple browser tools.
- Practical understanding of London areas/postcodes and travel time considerations (preferred).
- Reliable, mature attitude and a desire to grow with a scaling business.
Working Arrangement
Office-based role in Mitcham (near Colliers Wood). Hours can be set to suit the right candidate (typically full-time, with some flexibility). Start date: as soon as possible.
What We’re Looking For
A commercially minded, energetic operator who:
- enjoys calling leads and closing
- follows up relentlessly without being pushy
- moves quickly and stays calm under pressure
