Position: Social Worker – Adult Social Care
Salary: £35,412 – £44,075 per year (£2,000 Market Supplement available for experienced social workers).
Working pattern: Full Time, Permanent.
About the role
You will be an experienced, registered social worker with considerable post‑qualifying experience and a range of social care knowledge, including experience in community working and safeguarding.
You will hold a varied caseload across user groups such as people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, neurodiversity and mental health.
Transferable skills will be considered.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with other teams involved in Adult Social Care to promptly assess current care and support.
- Use a strengths‑based approach to work with individuals, enhancing wellbeing, upholding rights, fostering independence and facilitating positive outcomes.
- Coordinate with providers to ensure care and support plans reflect eligible needs and up‑to‑date costings.
- Contribute to team performance and positive outcomes for residents.
- Work closely with health colleagues to consider NHS Continuing Healthcare alongside Care Act duties.
- Adhere to the legal framework of statutes, guidance, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Understanding of the Care Act 2014.
